Prud’homme Beer Certification® – a beer sommelier program – was created in 2009 to meet the needs of a rapidly changing desire for more beer knowledge. This multi-level beer education course has something to offer to everyone from the beer aficionado to the hospitality professional.

With the surging popularity of craft beer in BC and the solid connections that experts in the culinary realm are making with craft beer and its benefits, Prud’homme is fast becoming a popular way for beer enthusiasts to explore and experience beer in a whole new way.

As the director of the BC Craft Brewers Guild and BC’s leading beer trainer, Ken Beattie brings over twenty years of industry experience and beer knowledge to beer lovers all over BC. As one of our province’s strongest advocates for homegrown craft beer, he represents Thirst For Knowledge, Canada’s leading beer training program, and through his own Eureka Beer Guide, spreads the gospel of craft beer all over our province. From introductory enthusiast courses and beer history, all the way up to the science and chemistry of beer, Beattie’s courses offer beer lovers at all levels much in the way of knowledge, insight and excitement.
