The BC Craft Brewers Guild in conjunction with Central City Brewers + Distillers and Four Winds Brewing are proud to present the first Guild-branded collaborative brew.

Maiden Voyage Cedar Aged Pale Ale is the first in a series that will see the Guild coordinate brewery collaborations each quarter to produce new and exciting BC craft beers. At the helm of Maiden Voyage are two of BC's best brewers, Gary Lohin (Central City) and Brent Mills (Four Winds).

Aged with the finest Cedar, this well-hopped brew imparts an intense cedar aroma. Peppercorn spiciness and tannins from the wood enhance the bitter hop flavour with a long, lingering finish. A refined twist on a local BC favourite.

  • 650ml / ABV: 6% / IBU: 40
  • Available in BC Liquor stores starting October 3

Gary Lohin

GARY LOHIN

Gary Lohin is the brewer at Central City Brewers + Distillers, a craft brewery in the business of developing, producing and selling international award-winning premium craft beer and high quality distilled spirits. Based in Surrey, BC, CCBD was voted Canada’s Best Brewery of the Year in 2010 and 2012. Its Red Racer brand has become a cult icon among craft beer enthusiasts throughout North America.

“I was really excited about this particular style, as it’s one that has been in my mind for sometime now. I’ve been looking for a time and place to brew it, and this new venture from the BC Craft Brewers Guild gave us the chance to collaborate with Brent Mills from Four Winds on it. I hope this cedar aged beer strikes a chord with BC consumers given all the cedar we have around us here on the West Coast.”

Brent Mills

BRENT MILLS

Brent Mills helps run Four Winds Brewing alongside his father Greg and brother Adam. The close-knit family unit produces beers in their brewing space in Delta which just expanded to add a lounge and tasting room. Four Winds is renowned for their refined takes on classic Belgian, German and West Coast styles.

“It was such a great opportunity to work side by side with Gary from Central City and to design a beer to help support the BC Craft Brewers Guild. It has been an honour for Four Winds being a new kid on the block to be a part of this inaugural collaboration series. I am very excited to try this beer when it’s ready to hit the shelves.”
