Subject: UPDATE: Customer Transition Schedule, Continue to Monitor Purchase Orders Carefully
As mentioned in our last communication, the transitioning of customers to our new facility in Delta was paused over the holiday season to minimize any disruption during this critical sales period. This allowed us to ensure we were receiving product into the building and shipping orders from our Delta location in a timely manner.
What’s Happening
We will continue with our gradual approach to customer transitions after implementing a number of system and process enhancements to help ensure consistent on-time order fulfillment and shipping. These enhancements began in December and will continue through January.
Our approach to moving the remaining customer volume from Vancouver to Delta is as follows:
• Transitions will resume beginning early February 2019.
• We will continue to run two Lower Mainland DCs into spring.
• We will not transition any customers during our annual inventory count in March.
• We expect the remaining customer transition will take approximately three months.
What This Means to You
1. You will continue to receive POs for product to be delivered to Delta and Vancouver until further notice. Shipments to Kamloops will continue as usual.
2. Please continue to check all purchase order “ship to” addresses carefully, and ensure your supply chain and logistics departments are aware they will continue to ship to both the Vancouver and Delta locations over the next several months.
3. We will update you when we expect to complete our customer transition and subsequently, the transfer of remaining product inventory from our Vancouver DC to our Delta DC.
4. Orders for 3rd Party Stocked (Spec) Products will continue to be processed during the transition.
