Assistant Brewer – Salt Spring Island Brewing Co

Salt Spring Brewing Company is growing, and we’re looking to add an experienced Brewer or Assistant Brewer to our team! If you’re passionate about craft beer, have hands-on experience in a production brewery, and want to work in a collaborative, team-first environment—we want to hear from you.
What You’ll Do:
- Operate and maintain our canning line (experience preferred but not compulsory)
- Perform cellar work including CIP/SIP, dry hopping, transfers, and carbonation
- Assist in wort production on brew days (or lead them, depending on experience)
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout the brewery
- Monitor and record fermentation and quality data
- Pitch in wherever needed— Deliveries, cleaning kegs, organizing inventory, assisting on brew days, and more. We’re a small team and everyone helps make it happen
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous brewery or food production experience
- Experience with a canning line is a strong asset
- Willingness to take on any task and work collaboratively
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Ability to lift 25+ kg and work in a physically demanding environment
- Passion for craft beer and a desire to grow with a team
- Valid driving license
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20-$22 per hour
Expected hours: 20 to 40 per week, depending on your needs
